About Us
Our Goals
H-Our Academy works for young people to ensure that they have all the information about the policies and people that affect their lives to form their own opinions about legislation, to facilitate conversation about it with other young people, and eventually advocate for themselves and the policies they want passed or failed as informed constituents.
This is all to create a United States where people are more aware of policy and more open to advocating for policy that benefits them because civics is a place for the people.
Our Values
Inclusion is at the heart of H-Our. We stand with the firm belief that the more people learn about the policy that affects them, the better, and we will always be involved with inclusion.
Transparency is key because our work is inherently political, and as much as we try to cleanse our work of bias, the people behind it will always have some form of bias, so it is best to communicate clearly.
Bipartisanship is important for representing both sides of a policy, and the reasons some lawmakers want to pass certain policies and others don’t.
Collaboration is how any policymaker and we at H-Our get things done. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to properly gather others’ viewpoints, which would fail to educate people about policy.
